Twitter reminds Kangana of her promise to return Padma Shri as AIIMS rules out murder in SSR case
About a month after actor Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide, Kangana Ranaut had said that she would return her Padma Shri award if she failed to prove that Sushant was murdered.
In a recent development, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences’ (AIIMS) Forensic Department ruled out murder in the case and Indians are now reminding Kangana about her promise, reported CNN-News18.
Following Sushant’s death, Kangana had released a couple of videos on social media, in which she accused several members of the film industry of propagating nepotism and pushing the actor to suicide.
In those videos, she had talked about the pressure and rejection Sushant was facing from Bollywood and the media. She had criticised journalists for writing blind items on celebrities without taking names.
Kangana Ranaut, in those videos, had also questioned whether Sushant’s death was a “suicide or a planned murder”. She went on to say that if she was not able prove the claims she had made, she’ll return the honour bestowed upon her by the Indian government.
