Sikhs join President Joe Biden’s environmental agenda
Washington DC – About 102 leaders of various religions gathered in Washington DC to express their support for President Joe Biden’s climate agenda. EcoSikh was represented and founded by Dr. Rajwant Singh.
They sang the hymns of Guru Nanak, the founder of Sikhism, and shared Sikh views on the environment. President Biden recently proposed 2. 2.2 trillion, including improvements to the environment, modernization of new technologies and electric grids, expansion of electricity and public transportation, and investment in clean water for all communities.
In this regard, Dr. Rajwant Singh said, “Political leaders in Congress should pass the US Jobs Plan which will give us 100% clean electricity and pollution free energy by 2035.” “We must invest with justice,” he said. To ensure President Biden’s campaign, at least 40% of the funds should go to people of black descent and low-income communities. Polluted energy and petroleum based economies have been badly affected in these places.
