Lucknow: Imam changed the time of Jumma prayers due to Holi, said, ‘Hindu Brothers play Holi on extreme level
Lucknow: Before Holi, an Imam has presented a great example of religious harmony, giving messages to the people of the country. On Tuesday, Imam of Aishbagh of Idgah in Lucknow has requested all the mosques that due to Holi, Friday prayers of Jumma will be adjourned for some time on Friday. According to a report of the Indian Express, Maulana Khalid Rashid Firangi Mahali said, “This is the festival of Holi on Friday. That’s why I request all the mosques to postpone the prayer of Jumma as the holi is between 12 a.m. It is also played and the same time is also the prayer of Jumma. ” Maulana Khalid Rashid is a Sunni Imam. Imam said that due to Holi, he has changed the period of prayer to Jumma from 12.45 to 1.45 in Aishbagh Eidgah.
Mahali said, “We understand that the festival of Holi comes only once a year. Our Hindu brothers should not have problems in playing Holi this day, so we have changed the time of Namaz. They all agree with this decision. We want that message of religious harmony and love in our society. ” He also said that this is happening for the first time that due to Holi, Jumma is changing the time of prayer.
Recently, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had held a meeting to maintain law and order on the day of Holi. Yogi had instructed the authorities to take all necessary steps to keep the atmosphere of peace on Holi. The Chief Minister also said that it should be taken into consideration that there should be no confrontation with other religious communities on the day of Holi.
