Emergency in Sri Lanka rose for another month
Sri Lankan President Maitripala Sirisena on Saturday, in the wake of security situation in the country, has extended the period of the already applied emergency and for one month.
According to the reports, the President signed a special secret notification letter stating that the emergency is effective for the protection of public safety, public order and management of essential supplies and services for the life of the community.
Sirisena had imposed emergency on April 22 a day after a fierce terrorist attack in the country two months ago. Remember that more than 250 people lost their life in this attack. Emergency was extended for the first time on May 22 for one month.
The task of capturing the suspects involved in the terrorist attack in Sri Lanka is still going on. A large number of raids were killed there. According to the police, more than 100 suspects have been arrested so far in connection with the terror attacks. The incident of terrorist attack in Sri Lanka was condemned worldwide.
