Ayushmann Khurrana comes under radar of netizens after showing his support for Rhea Chakraborty
Ayushmann Khurrana, who was lauded for revealing his experience with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, is now receiving a lashing from netizens. The actor-singer had shown his support to Rhea Chakraborty by leaving a heart and broken heart emoji on her post.
Soon after, netizens gave him a lashing, stating that despite being an outsider, he has not spoken up on the topic of Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise yet. A few users accused him of trying to ‘normalize nepotism’.
Kamal R Khan, who is also an actor, tweeted, “Ayushman Khurana is supporting #RheaChakraborty and nepo kids for 3 reasons! 1) He has to survive in the Bollywood. 2) He is the artist of #YRF. 3) Sushant Singh was his competitor! Don’t worry khurana. Your films will also come n public will give you perfect reply. All the best.”
Ayushmann Khurrana had worked with Rhea Chakraborty on the music video ‘O Heeriye’, which release just a year after his debut in Bollywood. Ayushmann had featured in Shoojit Sircar’s ‘Vicky Donor’, which was produced by John Abraham. Interestingly, Ayushmann’s last movie release ‘Gulabo Sitabo’ was also helmed by Shoojit.
Rhea is currently accused of laundering money from her boyfriend Sushant Singh Rajput’s bank account. Various celebrities have also alleged that she kept him away from his friends and family.
Sushant was found dead in his Bandra apartment on June 14, 2020. While Mumbai Police has called it a case of suicide, Bihar Police had started investigating in the matter after Sushant’s father KK Singh wrote an FIR with the Patna Police accusing Rhea of money laundering, among other charges.
The Supreme Court has accepted Bihar government’s request for CBI probe in the matter. The Enforcement Department (ED) came in action soon after. They have already questioned Rhea in the matter, along with others, including her brother Showmik.
