More than a playback singer: Jyotica Tangri
For Jyotica Tangri, this year has been about Bollywood as well as non-film projects in equal measure. While she had Maahi Ve Teri Akhiyaan, Tere Naal Rehna, Mahiya Ve Mahiya and Kuch Nahi on Zee Music Originals, there were Shubh Din (Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran), O Meri Laila (Laila Majnu), Kem Cho (Baazaar), and more. The songstress talks about her latest non-film release, Main Iss Chhor Hun and why she wants to continue releasing more of them.
I’ve worked with composer Ajay Jaiswal in the past and love his melodies. We have collaborated on more numbers. There’s another single that I filmed in Dubai recently — people will see me dancing for the first time in its video.
More indie stuff Since my film music did well this year, I’m coming up with more indie music. I am focussing on featuring in the videos since it’s important that listeners connect with me more than just as a playback singer.
