50 Soldiers ‘Honey-Trapped’ by Pakistani Female Agent; Met Over Facebook, Jawan Arrested For Sharing Sensitive Information
Jaipur: A soldier from the Indian Army trapped inside the Honeytrap of Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI here, has shared intelligence details across the border. These notifications were sent through social media and WhatsApp. The police arrested the accused jawan on Friday evening. The name of the accused is Sombir, who is being questioned by bringing in Jaipur. At the moment intelligence agencies are investigating the young man and trying to find out the details of how much information he has shared across the border.
According to reports, the activities of Somewhere in Jaisalmer were being suspected for a long time, due to which the monitoring was being done. Sombir was admitted to the army in 2016 itself. Speaking to the ANI, Defense Prose Colonel Ghosh said, “The jawan was arrested by the Rajasthan Police in Jaisalmer. The Army is fully cooperating with the administration. The young man has been identified as Sombir, who lives in Haryana. ‘
According to sources, the youth was in touch with the suspected ISI spy who was on Facebook on the name of ‘Anika Chopra’. He used to chat with Ankita Chopra for hours through social media and send the information of the unit related to the army, which included the movement of the army. The Army is now trying to find out many social media accounts of the Army officers and the jawans and find out that even more youth is not trapped in the clutches of the ISI.
